How to learn

Jun 28, 2026· 1 min

To know how to build, you need certain skills. Because starting from the problem rather than from skills is often a better choice. Because one of the most effective ways to learn is to connect to the effort and the time spent learning a meaning, the reason why we are acquiring that skill. How many things in life we learn and forget. There are others instead that stay for our whole life. And two principles come into play: both the time dedicated to practicing those skills, and the meaning that also influences the time dedicated. Meaning and repetition. Meaning feeds repetition, pushes us to go deeper, to truly understand. That is why often having grades as a goal, for example, leads to weak knowledge and comprehension, too easily dissolved over time.

The other path is to go compounding on skills that entertain you, that for some reason obsess you, and the ideal would be to find those evergreen skills that are always worth it, for your whole life, and that in practicing them therefore have a compounding effect: knowing how to write, communicate, then languages, sports, chess, a passion for art, a passion for something, there can be infinite ones.
